Disabilities
Our goal is to increase civic participation of people
living with disabilites by engaging them in volunteerism and increasing
awareness of issues impacting people living with disabilities. In
2008, 5% of our volunteer force will consist of people who identify
themselves as living with disabilities.
Inglis House Ice Cream / Pizza Party Social - (Wheelchair Accessible, Family Friendly)

Have fun with the residents of Inglis House while you talk and play games during their ice cream social.

Pegasus Riding Academy
Saturdays, January 2 & 16, 9:00am-12:00pm

(3-6 volunteers needed; Northeast/Two Saturdays)
Pegasus needs your help in providing disabled individuals with therapeutic
riding lessons. Volunteers help lead the horse, spot the rider, groom and feed the animals
and clean the stables.

Carousel House Adult Wheelchair Basketball Tournament
Saturday, February 27, 7:30-10:30am and 11:00am-2:30pm
Sunday, February 28, 7:30-10:30am and 11:00am-2:30pm

Volunteers will help to prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for the hungry basketball players.

Carousel House Black History Celebration
Sunday, March 7, 10:00am-1:30pm and 1:30-5:00pm
(4-6 volunteers for each shift; City Line/Sunday)
Volunteers are needed to help set-up for the celebration and are also needed to help serve dinner for the attendees. Enjoy some live music, dance and interact with the participants.
