Philadelphia Cares About Fairmount Park Day 2008
Saturday, May 17th

Thank You
Philadelphia Cares about Fairmount Park Day Volunteers

On Saturday, May 17th, in partnership with the Fairmount Park Commission, over 1,200 volunteers spent the morning cleaning, planting & sprucing up more than 40 parks and trails around the city.

From Pennypack Park in the Northeast to Morris Park in West Philadelphia, volunteers battled invasive weeds & vines, painted benches, planted trees and picked up trash, beautifying the public park spaces we all know and love so well.

Without the help from you, our dedicated volunteers, our parks certainly would not look the same! A special thank you to the wonderful staff and members of the Fairmount Park Commission, who worked tirelessly to create fun and meaningful projects.
