Greater Philadelphia Cares coordinates large-scale events each year. These Annual Events are a great way to get involved with Greater Philadelphia Cares. One day can truly make a difference!

Philadelphia Cares Day
Improve our city's public schools by painting classrooms, restoring playgrounds, and creating green spaces at more than 100 learning centers!

LOVE Your Park Day AND Earth Week!
Volunteers, mark your calendars! We are going GREEN in celebration of Earth Day! Our Earth Week extravaganza will begin with LOVE Your Park Day on April 16th and continue through April.

Philadelphia Marathon
Be part of the Philadelphia Marathon, a world-class athletic event! Be among some two thousand volunteers on hand to support the race. There are opportunities to assist with pre-race activities such as packet stuffing, registration, expo, and the information booth. Race day activities will include course monitors, support at the start, finish, and other parts of the course.

Winter Coat Drive
Last year we collected and redistributed over 10,000 winter coats. We would like to keep even more than 10,000 Philadelphians warm this holiday season and we can only do it with your help! You can collect coats with your family, friends or co-workers. All you have to do is host a collection site! To sign up to host your own collection site please contact Stacy Weeks at 215-564-4544.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
